Essay 5 My Hometown

There is a very beautiful metropolis located in Northeast China. It is also the capital of Liaoning province in northeast China. It is famous for its heavy industry and used to be the industrial basis of China before. It’s also an important commercial center and transportation of China’s northeast region. I’m very proud of telling you guys that this wonderful city is my hometown-Shenyang and I’d like to introduce my hometown briefly to everybody. First, Shenyang is a very big and lively city with gay night life. At there, tall buildings are everywhere so most people live in tall buildings. And streets are very busy during day time. Even at nights, the city is still very beautiful. It is sprinkled with countless lights everywhere. You would think that it would be quiet at nights, but it’s not true. At there, a lot of shopping malls and restaurants are 24-hour opening so you can go shopping and eating whenever you want which is very convenient. Next, my hometown is a very pleasure and nice place to stay. Because it’s location, there has no any disaster like earthquake, flooding, hurricane etc. Thereby, it used to be the sub-capital for ancient emperors and empresses. And then, Shenyang is an old and historical city so many monuments are remained there. As every Chinese knows, the second Forbidden City is located in Shenyang. Even it is not as big as the one in Beijing its grandiosity still attracts countless visitors every year. Besides Forbidden City, many other relics are well-known all over the world. Like Xinle Remains, Sheli Tower, Zhang Mansion. Last, the food there are awesome and you may taste every kind of Chinese food in Shenyang. In my hometown, there are a number of restaurants and you can get all Chinese Quisines there. The food like dumpling, hot pot, Chinese BBQ, those are my favorite. Not only this, If you are brave enough, you may try some special and strange food like worms, snakes, animal livers and so on. As a metropolis, Shenyang is growing and developing day by day and being known by more and more foreigners. The people there are very friendly and pleasure to welcome all foreigners from everywhere. I’m so proud that I have such an awesome hometown.
